The affair of Kitiara Uth Matar and Tanis Half-Elven began when Tanis 'rescued' Kitiara from a group of goblins, only to have her attack him for spoiling her fun! The two become traveling companions (and much more) as they face numerous dangers along the way: a two-headed troll, a deposed ruler out to get Kit, her former lover and even a magic user or two.

Raistlin was right--he convinced Flint and Tanis that they had to make a perilous journey to the minotaur isle of Mithas, where their purpose is two fold: to defeat the Nightmaster and rescue their friends. It seems that Caramon, Sturm and Tasslehoff have been mysteriously blown off course and while the two warriors have been left for dead Tas has become "evil"...
